Maoist chairman Prachanda has reached the tourist valley of Jiri in Dolakha district on Thursday morning.

He had unexpectedly reached the district headquarters, Charikot, on Wednesday evening. He was accompanied by his wife Sita Poudel and son Prakash.

In Dolakha he has been holding discussions with the local party leaders. This is the second time after the announcement of the ceasefire that Prachanda is travelling throughout districts holding discussions with party members.

However, there are no reports about the subject of his discussions. Prachanda also has not spoken anything about the contemporary politics, radio reports say. It is also not known how long he plans to remain in Jiri.

Meanwhile, a motorcycle carrying a local Maoist leader escorting Prachanda to Jiri met with an accident in Charikot this morning. A district level leader was injured in the accident and has been undergoing treatment in local hospital. The incident occurred when a bus coming from the oppose side hit the motorcycle.
