Prachanda meets NC-D president Deuba

Giving continuity to his political discussions, chairman of CPN-M, Prachanda, met with President of Nepali Congress-Democratic (NC-D) Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday.

They discussed the current political situation of the country following the eight-point agreement between the seven party alliance and Maoists last Friday.

They also discussed the different views expressed by the leaders of seven political parties about the eight-point agreement.

Senior Maoist leader Dr Baburam Bhattrai was also present on the occasion.

Prachanda and Dr Bhattrai, who left capital following the high-level talks with the leaders of seven political parties, arrived in Kathmandu Saturday evening after a series of training programs of Maoist cadres in the far-western districts.

Maoist chairman Prachanda held discussion with the leaders of Nepali Congress and Nepal Sadbhawana Party-Anandidevi (NSP-A) on Monday.

On Sunday, Maoist leaders held discussions with CPN-UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe.

According to a Maoist source, the leaders will hold discussion with top leaders of seven political parties and leaders of civil society.
