Nepali Congress general secretary Ram Chandra Poudel has hinted that NC and NC-Democratic will soon unite.

“There is no alternative to unity in NC in order to save democracy,” said Poudel.

Addressing a programme in Lekhnath municipality, Kaski district on Saturday, Poudel said it was imperative for the Congress parties to come together to stave off any disaster on democracy.

“There is a possibility of unification within two-four days,” he said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala had said that the two Congress will unite before the elections for the Constituent Assembly (CA). Likewise, NC-Democratic president Sher Bahadur Deuba, too, has said that his organisation is willing and ready for respectful unification.
