Police nabbed three robbers after they looted Guna Multipurpose Cooperative Private Limited in the Capital Sunday afternoon.
Those arrested are Rajan Limbu, Bhakta Bahadur Lama and Sunil Thakuri.
Police arrested them seven minutes after they fled after looting money and jewelries from the Cooperative.
They had looted Rs. 442,000 and some gold ornaments from the cooperative, after taking the employees under control on gunpoint.
Police confiscated Rs. 309,590 and four golden chains from the looters.
Police recovered one each Chinese, American and Pakistani pistols, 11 rounds of bullets and two bullet shells from them.
Police suspect that the group is involved in various major incidents of robbery in the capital in the recent months.
Police is searching their rooms in connection with the case.
A group of armed robbers looted property worth 2.5 million rupees from Continental Marketing Private Limited of Teku on July 21. Similarly, a group of armed looters looted Nabil Bank’s Jorpati branch on May 31 and Nepal Bank Limited’s branch office in Chhetrapati, May 28.
