Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa Wednesday returned to Nepal after participating in the 12th SAARC Summit in Pakistan from January 4-6.
Talking briefly with media personnel at the Tribhuvan International Airport, PM Thapa said the recent royal audience to political leaders was a “crucial development”.
“Those audiences cannot be termed ordinary ones,” PM Thapa said. He, in the meantime, ruled out any possibility of a new government, saying he will not quit.
“I am not going to quit, nor is a new government in the offing,” he said, adding, “These are nothing more than rumours.”
Along with PM Thapa, Ambassador-at-large Dr. Bhekh Bahadur Thapa and Foreign Secretary Madhu Raman Acharya also returned in the same flight. nepalnews.com mr Jan 7
