Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala held discussion with Bangladeshi Ambassador to Nepal Imtiaz Ahamad at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.

The two discussed the current political situation of the country and matters of bilateral interest.

Reports quoted Baluwatar sources as saying that Ahamad expressed commitment for assisting ongoing peace process of Nepal.

PM Koirala said Nepal was expecting Bangladeshi assistance in the peace process here.

Similarly, Prime Minister Koirala also sought information about the security situation of the country with Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Rookmangud Katawal.

CoAS Katawal apprised the Prime Minister about the latest security situation of the country.
