Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, in his consultation with the ambassadors of the various European Union (EU) countries at his Baluwatar residence today morning, has said he would soon announce fresh date of election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.

The meeting with ambassadors of EU countries including France, Germany UK and Denmark was mainly centered around the EU development aid to Nepal, ADB’s warning of a pull out from Melamchi Drinking Water Project, Nepal’s peace process and CA election including the latest political situation in the country.

Foreign affairs advisor to the PM Dr Suresh Chalise said that the ambassadors had drawn the attention of the PM towards the deteriorating law and order situation of the country and the unruly activities of the Maoist affiliated Young Communist League (YCL). “They even demanded that the government put a ban on YCL,” he said.
