Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala will be admitted in Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok on Wednesday morning for prostate laser surgery.

According to Madhu Ghimire, personal physician of PM Koirala, Koirala’s return may be delayed by a day or two due to the surgery, reports official news agency Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Koirala’s condition is said to be stable and the diagnosis made in Kathmandu has been confirmed by tests carried out in the Thai capital.

No malignant disease has been detected, the medical report showed.

Prime Minister Koirala, who has been suffering from multiple health complications left for Bangkok for a week long health check up on Saturday.
