PM Koirala meets Indian President

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala met with India’s President APJ Abdul Kalam at the Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi Wednesday evening.

Indian media reports said matters of bilateral interest were discussed during the meeting between Koirala and President Kalam.

Koirala met with his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh in the morning and discussed with him Nepal’s proposal for economic aid for shape up the ailing economy and infrastructure projects.

Similarly, Indian Home Minister Shivraj Patil met with Koirala in the evening.

The Prime Minister arrived in the Indian capital with his 41-member entourage on a four-day goodwill visit on Tuesday.
