KATHMANDU:  The only road link between the capital and Pokhara was cut off Saturday when a 100 metre section of the highway sank near Kurintar after heavy rains, Department of Roads said.

A diversion is being made 78 kms west of the capital and will take two days to complete. Transport operators have been asked to use the Tribhuvan Highway until then.
