PABSON, an umbrella organization of private and boarding schools, asked its members again to implement an 11 point code of conduct and reduce tuition fees effectively and without hesitation immediately through a public notice Wednesday.

While asking members to implement reduced fee structures, PABSON assured members that it was negotiating with the government, leasers of school buildings, financial institutions and parents to consider the difficulties of school administrators to overcome problems of schools after reducing fee structures.

The Education Ministry Tuesday in a late night statement said it was ready to implement a 29 point education reform programme effectively and immediately from Wednesday. Government and schools succumbed to pressures to meet some demands of Maoist students to break a strike that was plaguing the education sector.
