At least three dozen people were injured when a stray bomb left behind by Indian dacoits went off in Korobari VDC of the eastern Jhapa district Friday morning.

The bomb exploded when the locals and police were trying to dispose of the bombs left by bandits coming across the border last night, reports said.

Most of the injured people are local residents. At least half a dozen people including three children and policemen who were critically injured in the blast are undergoing treatment at different local hospitals in Jhapa.
