Fire has gutted over one hundred houses at Badag VDC in eastern terai district of Saptari Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, some 120 houses and huts belonging to 60 families were gutted by the fire. According to preliminary estimates, property worth Rs 10 million has been destroyed due to the fire.

When fire-fighting machines reached the village from neighbouring towns 45 minutes after the incident, the fire had already gutted over 100 houses, reports said.
