Over 25 hurt in road mishap

At least 25 people were injured when a passenger bus heading towards Kathmandu from Banepa met with an accident, at Nayanchowk in Nangkhel Village Development Committee-1, Bhaktapur, Sunday morning.

Of the injured, three are in critical condition. The injured are undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital.

The bus with registration number Ba 1 Kha 6412 fell in a field ten feet below the road at around 8:30 this morning.

According to police, the accident occurred due to excess speed. The bus was carrying 50 passengers.

After the accident, a group of people disrupted traffic movement on the Araniko Highway for some time, reports said.
