Police arrested 155 part-time campus teachers from a sit-in program in front of Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, Wednesday afternoon.
They were arrested soon after they began their protest in front of Singha Durbar, demanding that the reconvened House of Representatives order the government to give them permanent status.
The arrested part-time teachers have been kept at the Mahendra Police Club.
Demanding permanent status, thousands of part-time teachers working in various campuses around the country have been protesting since last four years but the government is yet to see to their demand.
