Kathmandu, May 16 : Member secretary of Nepal Sports Council Binod Shanker Palikhe inaugurated the Open Boxing Championships amidst a programme here, Tuesday.

In today’s 57 k.g. weight category, Som Bahadru Gurung of Tribhuvan Club beat Arun Subba of Sunsari, Rajesh Shrestha of Naxal Yuva Mandal beat Sajan Singh of Sindhuli and Tribhuvan Club’s Dev Singh Suwal beat Santa Thapa.

The events are divided into twelve weight categories and will be concluded on May 20. All together 119 participants from 26 teams have taken part in the programme.

The programme was organised by Nepal Boxing Association.
