One person was killed and dozen others were injured when a truck they were travelling in collided with another truck on the Mahendra Highway near Churiya Mai temple in Makwanpur district Thursday.

Anisha Rai, 17, of Hetauda Municipality died on the spot when the NA-2-Kha truck carrying pilgrims to Churiya Mai Temple collided with another truck parked on the roadside, reports said.

Three women who were critically injured in the accident have been taken to Bharatpur for treatment.
