The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), Sanothimi has informed that it is adding 200 new SLC examination centres throughout the country.

With this, students will take their tests in 1,200 SLC centres across the country from April 4.

According to the OCE, Sanothimi, the District Examination Co-ordination Committee (DECC), under the co-ordination of Chief District Officer have recommended to expand the centers even in the remote areas after having discussions with the community stakeholders, reports said.

However officials at the OCE said that the exact number will be made public in next few days.

This year, some 368,000 students are appearing for the School Leaving Certificate examination.

New examination centres will be set up in remote areas as recommended by student bodies.

The decision to add examination centers was taken after Maoist affiliated All Nepal National Independent Student Union (Revolutionary) organised protest programmes demanding more examination centers in remote areas of the country for the convenience of the students.
