Yougal Kishor Rai struck twice as Nabil Three Star Club (NTSC) defeated New Road Team (NRT) 2-0 while 10-man Armed Police Force (APF) thrashed RCT 4-0 to keep its fourth position in the on-going San Miguel “A” Division League Football Tournament at Dasrath stadium.

Rai scored the opening goal for NTSC in the 6th minute when his shot deflected off Ramesh Sinkeman of NRT to leave goalie Surendra Lal Shrestha stranded. After the lemon break, NTSC played with full composure and doubled the tally through Yougal Kishor Rai in the 50th minute. NTSC is in third position with 35 points while NRT is in eighth position.

In the other match, 10-man Armed Police Force (APF) slammed RCT 4-0 to stay firmly in the 4th position with 34 points. The first half was goalless with all the goals coming in the second half.

APF went ahead in the 54th minute when Ganesh Lawati’s shot hit RCT skipper Madhu Karki on the head inside the 10-yard box, resulting in an own-goal. Then, Jibesh Pandey doubled the tally scoring a neat goal a minute later.

APF was down to 10 men after Shree Krishna Prajapati was sent off in the 71st minute. But Ganesh Lawati found the third goal in the 77th minute while Pandey completed the rout scoring in the 88th minute.
