Nabil Three Star Club faced obstacles on the way to grab much important three points against Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) which left nothing but rue and anxiety in the on-going Martyrs’ Memorial “A” Division San Miguel League Football Tournament here at Dasrath Stadium.

Though the score was 2-0, the match took a U-turn in the 77th minute when match referee Surendra Sikhakar pointed for controversy spot kick to put brakes on match wheel for sixteen minute. Sunil Raut of JYC pulled down speedy Bijaya Gurung at the edge of the box but referee Sikhakar mistakenly pointed for spot kick which left JYC players disbanding the match for sixteen minute. At a time when League runners up NTSC were struggling for the breakthrough, Zoo tamers were playing very cautious game with forest of legs in defense area. Neither NTSC provided real scare to JYC post nor could zoo tamers roar around opponent goals.

Leaving this hullabaloo, finally, JYC coaching department allowed goalie Mohammad Nizamuddin to guard the post for spot kick but stood sticky in the left pole leaving Lok Bandu Gurung to kick in an open post. NTSC didn’t want to celebrate first goal but they definitely celebrated second goal coming off Yougal Kishor Rai in the 90+2 minute.

Nirajan Rayamajhi, who flew away to German to secure his life in 2003, appeared on Dasrath Stadium pitch after three years gap stretching his legs for just five minute time.

In the meantime, JYC has filed protest letter seeking righteousness and requested organizing committee to take action against culprit referee.
