The tenth convention of the Nepali Congress affiliated Nepal Student Union (NSU) has stalled again today after the opposition group accused the establishment faction of not publishing the final name list of convention representatives as per the agreement reached on Tuesday evening.
According to journalist Nirmal Aryal, the agitating students have accused the establishment faction of violating the agreement reached earlier. He said a large number of security forces have been deployed in and around the convention centre to avoid any untoward incident and that the district office of the Nepali Congress, Chitwan is under tight security.
The opposing students have been agitating demanding review of the names of the convention representatives. Due to continued conflict, the closed session of the NSU has not begun yet.
As most of the participating students will have to sit for their exams of bachelors III year beginning Friday, the convention is likely to stop again.
