The Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), New Zealand chapter, has welcomed the agreement reached between the seven parties and the Maoists on Wednesday morning.
In a statement on Thursday, the NRNA said the agreement has respected the aspiration of the Nepali people for peace and progress.
The statement further said, “The agreement not only liberated Nepali people from the scorch of the two parallel governments but also paved the way for election to constituent assembly in which Nepali citizens would cast their votes to determine their future.”
The organization said the agreement is the victory against the American pressure to impose its interest here.
“We hope the new Nepal would be free from corruption, nepotism, ethnic discrimination and social differences,” the statement further said.
Similarly, NRNA Korea also welcomed the deal expressing hope that leaders would work towards establishing lasting peace in the country.
In a statement, the organisation said the peace deal would transfer the country into a prosperous and happy.
