Northumbria University of United Kingdom has decided to dedicate a number of scholarships for students from Nepal in recognition of the outstanding academic and personal achievements made by Tshering Lama, a Nepali student.

According to the University, the scholarships, entitled “Tshering Lama Northumbria University Scholarships”, are available to suitably qualified students applying to study in any of the university’s nine academic schools, at Undergraduate, Taught Postgraduate or Research level.

Up to 20 scholarships are available to students showing a high level of academic achievement in their previous studies.

Lama, a student of the Northumbria University received the “International Student Award 2006”.
