Senior leader of Nepali Congress Nona Koirala is said to be in critical situation. She is currently hospitalised at the Ganga Lal Heart Centre.

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala visited his sister-in-law at the hospital on Saturday. Nona Koirala, 78, had been admitted to the hospital on January 20 following complaints of chest pain.

A patient of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart, Koirala was also suffering from jaundice.

Sources at the hospital have informed that since Saturday morning, she has been kept in ventilator.
