The NEPSE index fell 2.65 points at the end of four day trading Thursday trading several weeks of gains. The market remained closed Friday coinciding with Krishna Asthami.
The market opened at 230.01 points Monday and closed at 227.36 points Thursday. Commercial bank share index slipped from 221.71 to 225.43 points during the week.
For the first time in recent months, finance group shares dominated trading accounting for 46.80 percent of the total weekly trade while commercial bank shares accounted for 40.92 percent of the trade.
Total trade stood at Rs.13.52 million; 58,385 shares were sold in 784 transactions. Lumbini Finance and Leasing Company led trading with 27,940 shares sold at Rs.4.79 million.
