NEPSE index falls

The NEPSE index fell marginally by 0.19 points at the end of five day trading Friday. The market opened at 216.98 points Monday and closed at 216.79 points Friday.

Commercial bank share index rose to 222.27 points from 212.61 points during the week. Commercial bank shares accounted for 76.33 percent of the total trade.

Altogether 53,452 shares valued at Rs.17.18 million were sold in 725 transactions. Nabil Bank Ltd. led the market with 8,182 shares sold at Rs.5.84 million.
