The NEPSE index dipped slightly by 1.43 points at the end of five-day trading Friday last week after heavy declines the previous week. Trading opened at 281.83 points Monday and closed at 280.40 points Friday.
The index slipped 14.13 points the previous week. Commercial bank index recovered slightly to 281.55 from 280.96. Commercial bank shares accounted for 60.67 of total transactions in the week.
Rs.4.98 million shares of National Finance Company Limited were sold to lead the market. Altogether 55,415 shares valued at Rs.22.9 million were sold during the week.
The public issue of Himalayan Distillery Limited shares opened last week as government and Maoists agreed to regulate liquor sale, production and consumption.
