Nepathya the premier rock, folk band of the country performed at Sandikharka, the district headquarter of Arghakanchi district on Saturday as part of its nationwide tour with a banner “Shantiko Lagi Sikchya” (Education for Peace).
People of Sandikharka, who were deprived from such performance since long time due to the decade long conflict of the country overjoyed while seeing the performance of the Nepathya.
People from all walks of life had participated in the show. Special arrangement was made for the physically challenged and old people not to deprive them from participating in the musical show of Nepathya.
94-year-old Khadak Bahadur Pandey was also seen dancing at the tune of Nepathya during the show expressed his feeling in this way, “I was able to enjoy from the show, as I have faced various hardships in my life.
This is the first show of Nepathya in Sandikharka. Kiran of Nepalaya, which is coordinating the tour, said that the organizers became happy after seeing majority of senior people during the show.
The Nepathya team consisting 45 members, which is on a 40-day long nationwide musical tour since December 21, left for Tamghas if Gulmi district after Sandikharka.
According to organizers, during the 40 days tour Nepathya is scheduled to perform in 15 places.
After Tamghas, Nepathya will tour to Pokhara and Besishar in the west. It is scheduled to further travel to Trisuli Bazaar and Jiri before concluding in Kathmandu on the 31st of January.
