Nepathya performs in Hetauda

Nepathya, the premier folk rock band of the country performed at Om cinema hall of Hetauda on Wednesday, as part of its nationwide musical tour under “Shantiko lagi Sikchya” (Education for Peace).

People of Hetauda were overjoyed to see the performance.

In the two hour-long show, singer Amrit Gurung expressed happiness for being able to show the performance in Hetauda. During his performance, Amrit also urged to develop brotherhood among all leaving the bitterness of the past.

The band performed two shows, the first being for only invited people.

Meanwhile, students of Hetauda Campus organized a welcome programme in honour of Nepathya.

Speaking at the programme, chairman of Campus management committee Chandramani Sharma and Campus Chief Yadav Bhandari lauded the performance of Nepathya for the cause of education.

The team will perform in Butwal on Saturday. Nepathya is also traveling to Dhangadi, Surkhet, Sandhikharka, Tamghas, Pokhara, Besisahar, Trisuli Bazaar and Jiri. The tour will conclude with the final show in Kathmandu on the 31st of January.

Nepathya is currently on a 40-day tour with an entourage of altogether 45 members.

“As the theme goes – ‘Shantiko lagi Sikchya’ – Nepathya is advocating for the children of the nation. Our simple appeal to all concerned is – please leave the schools and the children free from politics,” said one band member.
