With a view to market Nepali orthodox tea in international marketplace, tea entrepreneurs from Nepal are taking part in the Tea & Coffee World Cup to be held in Geneva , Switzerland from June 3 to 5 and the World Tea Expo in Atlanta, United States from June 9 to 11.
Issuing a press release Friday, the Tea Development Alliance said the entrepreneurs will represent Himalayan Orthodox Tea Producers’ Cooperative (HIMCOOP) – a marketing cooperative of the Himalayan Orthodox Tea Producers Association (HOTPA) – at both the events.
According to the tea alliance, the Tea & Coffee World Cup and The World Tea Expo is comprehensive marketplace for tea products and ideas as it brings together the vast buying community – distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers – and provides an exclusive opportunity to meet potential clients/buyers from around the world.
The alliance expects that the participation in Geneva and Atlanta will further strengthen Nepali tea towards positioning it at the international tea market, increasing price and volume.
