Nepalese People’s Progressive Forum, Belgium and Nepalese Indigenous Concern Forum Belgium submitted a memorandum to Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) KP Sharma Oli on Friday in Belgium on his way to Geneva to participate in the meeting of the Human Rights Council.
The memorandum has urged the DPM to work as per the people’s aspiration expressed during the people’s movement and to hold unconditional election of the constituent assembly to solve the problems of the country.
The memorandum also urged the government to immediately suspend the parliament and the civil code of the country and form an interim government comprising representatives of civil society.
The memorandum further urged the government to resolve the issues of indigenous nationalities and give regional autonomy.
