Nepalese goods marketing in Japan discussed

Kathmandu, June 23 : Royal Nepalese Ambassador to Japan Kedar Bhakta Mathema and president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kaji Shrestha held discussions on market promotion for Nepalese products in Japan here recently.

During the meeting with the ambassador, president Shrestha is learnt to have stressed increasing the export of Nepali garments and tea in Japan, encouraging, Japanese investors in small and medium scale ventures in Nepal, organising the exhibition and sales of Nepalese products in different Japanese cities and streamline the role of the Royal Nepalese Embassy in this regard.

On the occasion, Royal Nepalese Ambassador to Japan Kedar Bhakta Mathema said a special Business Promotion Secretariat has been opened at the Royal Nepalese Embassy for the promotion of Nepal’s business and trade in Japan.

He spoke of the need for conducting market research and exchange of information and business delegations between the two countries for trade promotion.

The immediate past president of the Chamber Mahesh Kumar Agrawal, vice-presidents Jagdish Prasad Khetan and Surendra Bir Malakar, general secretary Suresh Kumar Basnet and other officials were present at the talks.
