Kathmandu, May 16 : After over night rain ‘Robin’s Golden Jubilee of Golf’ Tournament for the professional golfers of Nepal got off to a good start over the first 18 holes. The second round will be played tomorrow morning at the end of which the overall winner will be decided.
Finishing with a birdie 2 at the last hole home club pro Deepak Magar Thapa pulled himself up to second spot, one shot behind our last years World Cup Golfer and caddie master Deepak Neupane. Another four of Nepal’s top golfers are all within five shots of the lead and in a position to win. Missing from this group is our talented pro from the Meridian Club, Gorkhana – Deepak Acharya whose 75 leaves him perhaps too much work to do.
