Ten illegal immigrants, including Nepalese, escaped from a detention center in southern Malaysia with three of them caught shortly after the breakout, AP reported from Kuala Lumpur.

Wan Abdul Aziz, a senior immigration officer, said the men from Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Iran rushed out of the Pekan Nenas detention center in southern Johor state Thursday before guards could stop them. Thousands of Nepalis work illegally or without valid work permits in Malaysia; some are languishing in jails. nepalnews.com br July 13
