Nepalese Canadian Society of Edmonton participating in a Heritage festival

The Nepalese Canadian Society of Edmonton, Canada is participating in the three day long Heritage Festival, the world’s largest 3-day multicultural festival, that Kicked off in Edmonton, Canada on Saturday.

A press release issued by the Nepalese Canadian Society of Edmonton said, the Heritage Festival is focused on the traditional foods, crafts, costumes, and performing cultural dances from more than 58 countries.

“The Nepalese Canadian Society of Edmonton, Canada has set up a pavilion of more than 1,750 square feet to prepare Nepali food items and another 1,750 square feet for various Nepalese handicrafts, crafts, arts, paintings such as Thankas and posters of Mount Everest, Pashupatinath, Goddess Kumari, Gautam Buddha, Nyatapola and others,” the statement adds.

Nepali dances with Nepali costumes by local Nepali talents in Edmonton is another attraction of the festival. Nepali talents from Calgary city also participated at the cultural program at the festival.

More than 350,000 people visited the festival last year.
