Nepal upsets Pakistan in ICC World Cup under-19

Nepal won the second game in the ICC World Cup under-19s by 30 runs over Pakistan in Christchurch, New Zealand today. Batting first Nepal scored 151 in 48.5 overs, with Pakistan all out for 121 in 45.5 overs.

The third batsman and vice captain Bardan Chalise provided the highest score of 42 off 87 balls to steer his team towards a reasonable score. Good support was provided by Kanishka Chaugai (15), Manjit Shrestha (17) and Sanjam Regmi (16).

Pakistan were doing well at 84/3 till the dismissal of Khaqan Arsal for 24 when he was trapped leg before wicket by Sakthi Gauchan. This set up a collapse of two more wickets, with the score at 90/6.

Nepal then got the remaining wickets with Pakistan all out for 121. Gauchan ended with three for 19 from his 10 overs, while Regmi took three for 27 from 9.4 overs.
