The board meeting of National Sports Council (NSC) chaired by Education and Sports minister Radha Krishna Mainali on Thursday has decided that Nepal will take participate in the Indoor Asian Games to be held in Bangkok from November 12-19.
Chief-de-mission Kishor Bahadur Singh, member secretary of NSC, will accompany Nirmala Bharati (athletics) and Karishma Karki (swimming) for the event.
In a related development, Singh informed that the meeting also approved the financial help for the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to hold the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-19 Trophy in Kathmandu from November 8-19.
“We will help CAN for the international tournament, so we have decided to form the main organising committee under the presidentship of minister Mainali,” Singh said.
CAN is organizing the ACC U-19 Asia Cup in Kathmandu, which will be participated in by 15 nations.
