The Nepal Teachers’ Union submitted a final draft of the national education policy to the ministry of education to make necessary changes in the education sector.
A press statement issued by the Union said a 47-point draft has underlined the issue of ‘education for all’.
The statement further said that education should be brought within reach of each citizen.
“Lasting solutions to widespread poverty, inequality, sluggish development activities and human rights situation lie in education that suits national requirements and resources,” the statement reads.
Calling for the need to consolidate efforts of all stakeholders towards lifting standards of education, the union urged the government to collect suggestions from all fields before formulating country’s national education policy.
