Nepal and South Korea signed an agreement in Seoul last week to avoid double taxation, a Foreign Ministry announcement said. A bilateral consultative agreement was also signed.

Foreign Secretary Narayan S. Thapa and Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Sung-Hong Choi signed the agreements. Thapa asked South Korea to increase quotas for Nepali workers and work permits for longer duration, the Foreign Ministry said.

Thapa begins annual bilateral consultations with Chinese officials in Beijing Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry  said. Thapa will visit North Korea before returning home.
