Nepal lost to Pakistan by 27 runs in the semi-finals of the U-15 Youth Asia Cup tournament in UAE being played Friday, reports from the Gulf said.
The game was played at the Dubai Cricket Council Ground 1. Nepal had Pakistan under pressure by bowling them out for 117. Excellent bowling by Nepal limited Pakistan to 117 all out in 36.3 overs. Raj Shrestha took 4 wickets in 8 overs while allowing only 15 runs.
The batting faltered with Nepal losing all wickets while scoring only 90 runs in 37.1 overs.
Nepal entered the semi-finals by beating Bangladesh, the latest test entrant in South Asia, and Kuwait in the super league matches while losing a close game with India. Sri Lanka and India are the other semi-finalists.
The team have shown they are a force to be reckoned with.
