Nepal lost to Bangladesh 1-0 Saturday in the opening fixture of a Group B match in the South Asian Federation Football Tournament in Dhaka, reports from the Bangladesh capital said.

Taking advantage of playing in front of a home crowd, Bangladesh scored the solitary goal in the 31st minute of the first half. The match Saturday was Nepal’s 100th international.

Seven SAARC nations and Afghanistan are participating in the tournament.
