Reports quoted an official present in the meeting as saying that the Indian side will provide security regularly from 4 pm to 8 pm up to pillar no 7, while the Nepali side will provide security from Mahendranagar to Gaddachauki at the same time.

The security officials urged the businessmen to inform the administration instantly in case of any suspicious activities. The security chiefs also urged them to seek the help of the SSB forces, if needed.

Pawal Kumar Mandal, chairman of the Banbas business group asked for security in Nepal for Indian businessmen.

A few days ago, the NJP sent letters to 27 businessmen of Banbas in India, demanding Rs 50,000 from each of them.
