United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has selected Nepal National Human Development Report 2001 poverty reduction and good governance the winner of the UNDP’s award for human development, UNDP, Kathmandu said.

Nepal’s Human Development Report 2001 uses Nepal’s tradition is social mobilizatiion to explain how human development and good governance can create a virtuous cycle.

Human Development Reports of Nepal, Chile, Bolivia, Botswana, Arab region and Indonesia were awarded at a function held at UN heradquarters in New York Monday.
