Nepal defends ACC U-15 title

Nepal defended the ACC Under-15 Cricket Cup (Elite Group) title by defeating the United Arab Emirates in the final match played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Thursday.

Nepal amassed 177 runs losing 7 wickets in the first innings, restricting the UEA to just 75 runs.

Suvendu Pandey and Prithu Baskuta made major contribution for Nepal’s win, scoring half century and 35 runs respectively.

In the second innings, Nepal amassed 200 runs in 94.3 overs while the UAE could not go beyond 49/2.

Eight U-15 Asian cricket teams including the test-playing teams had participated in the tournament.
