Nepal defeats Singapore by 205 runs in 3-day ACC league match

Nepal defeated Singapore by 205 runs in the three day ACC Premier League match held at Tribhuvan University cricket ground, Sunday.

Resuming the third day’s match at 116 runs for the loss of three wickets, the visiting team lost all seven wickets scoring only 80 runs. The visiting team was chasing a target of 402 runs.

With today’s victory, Nepal received 33.10 points to its credit.

Captain of Nepal team Binod Das took five wickets against the visiting team, while Mehboob Alam and Basanta Regmi took two wickets each. Similarly, Raj Kumar Pradhan and Paras Khadka also took a wicket each to conclude Singapore in minimum runs.

Batting first after losing the toss, Nepal accumulated 313 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the first inning. In the second inning, Nepal declared its innings at 178 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, putting the target of 402 runs for the visiting team.

The visiting team could only muster 90 runs in the first inning.

Mehaboob Alam, who made a total of 125 runs and claimed 3 wickets was declared the ‘Man of the Match’, while Paresh Lohani and Binod Das were declared the ‘Best Batsman’ and the ‘Best Bowler’ respectively.
