Thrashing Malaysia in the ACC Fast Track Countries Three-day Cricket Tournament at the TU Cricket Stadium in Kathmandu on Saturday, Nepal qualified for the ICC Intercontinental Cup Cricket to be held next year.

Nepali cricket team won the tournament by 66 runs and an innings, playing 88 overs in the two matches.

Starting with 114 runs made in the first day’s match, Nepal declared the first innings at 308/8. Mehboob Alam scored 108 for Nepal, which proved crucial for Nepal’s victory. Malaysia was bowled out for 102 runs.

Alam, who became the first Nepali cricketer to score 108 in the ACC Fast Tract Cricket, was declared the man of match.
