Nepal kept its hope alive for a berth in the semi-finals by beating Kuwait by 7 wickets in the third super league match of the U-15 Youth Asia Cup tournament in UAE being played Wednesday, reports from the Gulf said.
Nepal which beat Kuwait in the group stage of the tournament bowled out Kuwait for 92 runs in 32 overs in their second meeting of the series. Nepal made the 93 runs needed for victory in the 18 over with the loss for 3 wickets. Nepal’s run rate was 5.05 per over with Sarad Veshawakar batting in 32 runs.
To qualify for the semi finals, Nepal needs India to beat Bangladesh. Though Nepal beat Bangladesh in their second game of the super league match, in the event that Bangladesh beats India, Bangladesh will go through to the next stage due to higher averages.
