Banepa, May 25: The annual general meeting of the federation of Nepalese Cottage and Small Scale Industries Kavre district branch was inaugurated by central member of the federation Maniraj Kayastha recently.
The speakers at the annual meeting stressed the need for professional development of the cottage and small industries for the uplift of the economic status of the rural people and economic progress of the country.
They also pointed out that His Majesty’s Government and the concerned authorities should provide incentives and promote the development of the small and cottage industries since 90 per cent entrepreneurs in the country’s industrial sector were engaged in small and cottage industries.
Development of agro-based industries, agro-enterprises and the need for unity among all the small and medium entrepreneurs was also underscored at the annual meeting.
Federation of Nepalese Small and Cottage Industries Associations Kavre district Chapter president Dilip Kumar Shrestha presided over the meeting.
In another RSS reprot received from, Bhadrapur, Mrs Phulbani Rajbanshi and her nephew Maheshwar Prasad Rajbanshi have donated ten kattha of land worth Rs 1.5 million to Mahabhara VDC for management of the local Hatkhola Village Market Centre.
The VDC is working on a plan to develop a permanent village market at the locality, VDC chairman Bijaya Agrawal said. Similarly, the VDC has also purchased 11.4 kattha land for the weekly livestock market.
