National Council of Churches of Nepal (NCCN) has welcomed the agreement between the ruling seven party alliance and the Maoists.

Issuing a press statement, the NCCN has said that all the Christian communities are ready to extend all necessary cooperation for restoring sustainable peace in the country.

The NCCN also thanked all who had played an important role to restore peace and democracy in the country.

The statement also noted that the NCCN played important role for the restoration of democracy in the country.

The government and Maoists on Tuesday signed an agreement to bring Maoists into the mainstream of politics.
