Former Minister for Education and Nepali Congress spokesman Arjun Narsingh K.C. Friday released a book entitled “Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Today” authored by Ram Thapaliya, a lawyer currently doing his Ph. D. from Tufts University in USA.
Addressing the function, K.C. claimed that South Asian politics was being driven by charismatic leadership. He admitted that there was some sort of dictatorial tendency in the Nepali Congress- the oldest party in the country. K.C expressed the need to democratize the internal functioning of the party.
Renowned political analyst Dr. Ananda Aditya said though Nepali contemporary politics was being covered by dark clouds, there still could be seen the silver lining. He said Nepali politics was gradually being transformed from palace-based monocentric power structure to people-centric polity.
Author of the book Ram Thapaliya said the Nepali politics that emanated from a feudal system was gradually spreading its roots to the villages through decentralization.
Pairavi Prakashan, a Kathmandu-based publishing house, has published the book, which is currently available in the Nepali capital only. The 95-page book has been priced at Rs 295.
